International
Weatherhead is proud of our diverse student population and we make a special effort to recruit students from across the globe. Students who are not citizens or permanent residents of the U.S. may face challenges if they wish to work in the U.S. after graduation. You should become well informed about visas and other employment issues and be prepared to coach potential employers on what is involved.
A successful career search should begin early in your academic program. Build a network of contacts and associates who can help you in your career development. Your network may include friends, student groups, alumni, former colleagues, social organizations, faculty, and family members. Relevant Weatherhead resources include:
- Information sessions and workshops designed for international students
- CareerLink
- Online alumni directory to find sources for informational interviews
- Career resource library
- Mock interview program
- Mentor program
- Student organizations
- Events
Case also provides considerable information and assistance to international students through the International Students Services Office. For legal assistance in obtaining an H1-B visa, please contact the American Immigration Lawyers Association at 800.954.0254.
