Sherry Sanger’s, PhD '14, scholarly contribution titled, “Toward a Conceptual Framework for Understanding Mechanisms of CMO Decision Making: Decision Styles, Entrenchment and Disruptive Strategies,” was recognized as the “Best Paper” in the Marketing Theory track at the 2013 American Marketing Association (AMA) Winter Educators’ Conference held in Las Vegas on February 15 through 18, 2013. Weatherhead's Jagdip Singh, AT&T Professor of Marketing, Department Chair and Professor of Marketing and Policy Studies, co-authored the paper.

The AMA Winter Educators’ Conference is an annual meeting of marketing academics and practitioners from all over the world. Sanger’s research stood out from contributions of leading academicians, PhD students, and practitioners whose work was accepted for the competitive paper sessions at the conference. Sanger is currently a student in Weatherhead School of Management's PhD in Management: Designing Sustainable Systems program.
