Even before spring begins, we are beginning to feel as though it is already here. Classes, programs and other events are in full swing, of course, and we are in the midst of our busiest recruiting time. Across the entire school we are working diligently to ensure that we continue to attract top prospects from around the world. Graduation preparations are underway for this year’s Day of Celebration on May 20.

We recently had the opportunity to welcome many prospective MBA students for a three-day event-filled visit to our school. We enjoyed Casino Night, the Graduate Business Student Association’s annual benefit. Attended by a combination of alumni, current and prospective students, faculty, staff and Weatherhead friends, it was a tremendous success. Through generous financial considerations, I am pleased to say that the Norman E. Wallace Legacy Scholarship fund is growing substantially.

We are grateful to Alan Rosskamm, former CEO of JoAnn Stores, Inc., who was the featured presenter at our February Leaders on Leadership session. He provided us with a very frank view of his career and leadership. We are honored to have several other distinguished speakers lined up including:

  • Thomas Modly, the deputy under Secretary of Defense for financial management. Mr. Modly will speak at our Bold Thinkers Series at 4 p.m. on February 28, at the George S. Dively Building. We would look forward to seeing you at this event.
  • Stephanie McHenry, president of Shorebank. Ms. McHenry will join us at 4 p.m. on March 2 for our Leaders on Leadership session. Join us if you can.

We encourage you to visit the Weatherhead calendar for details regarding these and other events at our School. Feel free to attend if something piques your interest.

Our school is proud to have a world-class faculty with a strong history of providing significant impact in their respective disciplines. As a result, we are celebrating their contributions with an advertising campaign in the local Cleveland media. Watch for our faculty stories.

And, do plan to visit our school whenever the opportunity arises.

With warm regards,
