Weatherhead students,

There are less than 100 days till graduation! This year we are going to have a "Day of Celebration" on Sunday, May 20. The day will begin with the university-wide commencement ceremony at 9 a.m. Following this ceremony we will have a brunch and awards ceremony at PBL, so that families traveling from out of town can share in the celebration of the student awards. There will be a small window of free time for family and guests so we are looking into discounted tickets to the museums in the University Circle area. The Weatherhead School graduation ceremony will begin promptly at 4:30 p.m. at Veale Center and will conclude at 6 p.m. Registration for graduation will begin on March 1. Look for an e-mail and be sure to complete it by April 1. Also, the university will be holding a graduation fair on March 21 to 22, so we can order caps, gowns, etc.

Thanks to Matt Fish for his leadership with the Weatherhead Community Service Day. Look for future opportunities to volunteer. Andy Male once again put on a very informative and educational Excel and PowerPoint camps and participants left with techniques and Excel files to practice their skills at a later time.

Matt Evans and team, thanks for all of your hard work and dedication to Casino Night, our premier formal fundraiser this year benefiting the Norman E. Wallace Legacy Fund. It was a night to remember. Also, thanks to Mariryn Pongpudpunth for organizing a bowling fundraiser for Casino Night that served as a great social event, but raised some money for a great cause (see article in Weatherheadlines).

Please remember as apart of the GBSA strategy to improve communication among students, we have launched a site called Post It! Feel free to follow the link www.weatherhead.case.edu/gbsaposts and post items, events, and announcements for your classmates. For example, if you are hosting a social event, selling something or looking for another student to help you with a project. Just Post it! You have to login with your case id and password. Feel free to use this new tool and let us know what you think.

Mark your calendars for the following events:

I hope that all of the students and staff traveling to Europe over spring break for the International Institute have a safe, fun filled, educational trip and bring back some great stories.

We look forward to your active engagement in these and other club events this year. We also welcome your comments and suggestions. Your GBSA team is always open to programming ideas and opportunities, so feel free to reach me at lynnette.jackson@case.edu.

Sincerely,
